Chief Medical Officer

Jonathan Manwaring, DO

Departments: Family Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care

Dr. Manwaring joined the medical staff of Gila Health Resources as Chief Medical Officer in July 2017. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and practices Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine as well. He received his Bachelor's degree from Idaho State University, his Medical Degree from Midwestern University, and went on to complete his Residency in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in 2010. He most recently practiced as a Family Physician with Mountain Park Health Center, as an Occupational Medicine provider with MBI Industrial Medicine, and as an Urgent Care provider with UCR Urgent Care, all in the Greater Phoenix area.

He was born and raised in Idaho, is married and has five children. Dr. Manwaring splits his time between Morenci and Mesa, Arizona. He, his wife, and family all enjoy traveling, sports, and spending time doing community activities. He is an active member of GHR’s medical staff, seeing patients in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, and Occupational Medicine.

Associate Medical Director – Family Medicine

Naomi Clancy, MD

Department: Family Medicine, Urgent Care

Dr. Clancy is a member of GHR's Family Medicine medical staff and serves as Associate Medical Director for Family Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Clancy received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico, graduating maga cum laude. She completed residency training at the Providence St. Peter Family Practice Residency Program in Olympia, Washington where she focused on rural health and obstetrical care and went on to receive the program's Famiy-Centered Maternity Care Award upon graduation. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family, Community, and Preventive Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and is the Chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians Rural Health Member Interest Group. She lectures regularly for the American Academy of Family Physicians' Continuing Medical Education conferences and has been a long-term collaborator with the University of New Mexico's Project ECHO Rheumatology Clinic. She is a 4H Leader for Greenlee County's Poultry and Anatomy Projects. Dr. Clancy, her husband, and their three children enjoy hiking, camping, and raising too many chickens. 

 

Associate Medical Director-Urgent Care and Emergency Medical Services

Jason Christensen, DO

Department: Urgent Care

Dr. Christensen is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine. He received his bachelor’s degree from Weber State, his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency at Darnall Army Community Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He served as a physician in the Army and was deployed to Iraq in 2006. He has worked as an attending emergency medicine physician at Chandler Regional Hospital and Mercy Gilbert Hospital since 2007 and has also served as Chief of the Emergency Department in both of those hospitals. He has been published multiple times in the Emergency Medicine specialty and continues to participate in ongoing research activities. Dr. Christensen brings a unique combination of excellent clinical skills, a broad medical leadership experience, and an easy-going, patient-centered bedside manner.

Chief Quality Officer, Senior Occupational Medicine Clinician

Amanda Gray, PA-C

Departments: Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care

Amanda Gray, PA-C, is a licensed, certified Physician Assistant. She is a full-time member of the Gila Health Resources Occupational Medicine staff and also sees patients in Urgent Care and Family Medicine. Amanda also serves as Clinical Quality Manager and is Quality Assurance Manager for GHR’s multiple Occupational Medicine Clinics.

Amanda earned her Master of Medical Science degree as a Physician Assistant with Honors from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in August 2008. She went on to join the medical staff of the Bradenton Heart Center in Bradenton, Florida, before relocating to Silver City, New Mexico to join the staff at Hidalgo Medical Services Community Health Center in 2009. She joined Gila Health Resources in June 2013. Prior to beginning her formal education and career as a Physician Assistant, Amanda served with the United States Army where she worked as a Medical and Clinical Lab Technician from 1998 to 2001, and with WAKO Chemicals, St. Luke’s Hospital, and Allen Memorial Hospital in Iowa from 2002 to 2004, before becoming a Research Assistant with Diamedix Corporation in 2005.

Daniel Regoso, MD

Location: Morenci

Department: Urgent Care

Dr. Regoso was the first physician to join the medical staff of Gila Health Resources’ Family Medicine Department in Morenci in 2005. He is now a full-time member of GHR’s 24-hour Urgent Care Department medical staff in Morenci. Dr. Regoso completed residency training in Family Practice at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and McKeesport Hospital near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1994. He served as an emergency room physician at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana, and as a Family Practitioner at the Francesville Family Medical Center in Francesville, Indiana from 1994 to 1997. Dr. Regoso was a member of the medical staff at the Talbert Medical Group (now known as the Carondelet Health Network) in Green Valley, Arizona in 1997 and 1998, prior to joining Gila Health Resources in Morenci in 2005. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has been Board Certified in Family Practice since 1994.

Michael Johnson, MD

Location: Morenci

Department: Family Medicine

Dr. Johnson is a member of the GHR’s Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and Occupational Medicine medical staff, and serves as Associate Medical Director for Occupational Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, S.D. in 1999, and went on to complete an Internship in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico in 1999 and 2000, followed by Residency training in Family Practice, including electives in International Medicine, Obstetrics and Emergency Medicine, at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico from 2000 to 2002. He was employed by Hidalgo Medical Services as a Family Physician in Lordsburg, New Mexico from August 2002 until March 2012 when he joined the medical staff in GHR’s Family Medicine Department in Morenci. He is Board Certified in Family Practice.

Charles Kertay, MD

Department: Urgent Care

Dr. Kertay joined the medical staff of GHR’s Family Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine Departments in 2004. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1985 and completed an Internship and Residency in Family Practice at the Mid-Hudson Family Health Services Institute in Kingston, N.Y. from 1985 to 1988. He first became Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1989. Dr. Kertay was a member of the medical staff at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia from 1989 to 1990, and the Kirk Army Hospital in Aberdeen, Maryland from 1990 to 1992. He was in private practice as a Family Physician in Baltimore, Md. From 1990 to 1992, and then served on the medical staff of the Mountain Medical Group Immediate Care Center in Bend, Oregon, until he relocated to Arizona shortly before joining GHR in 2004.

Jeffery Beeley, MD

Location: Morenci

Department: Urgent Care

Dr. Beeley joined our Urgent Care Department medical staff in Morenci in January 2018. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wichita State University, Dr. Beeley received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in May 1994. He went on to complete advanced medical training through the Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program in 1995. Dr. Beeley is Board Certified In Urgent Care Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, and Holistic Medicine, and holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. In addition to Gila Health Resources and Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center, he is affiliated with the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine as a Clinical Lecturer, and the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Prior to joining GHR on a full-time basis in January 2018, Dr. Beeley was a full-time member of the Emergency Department Medical Staff at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center since 2006 and provided Emergency Medicine coverage on a PRN basis at Northern Cochise Community Hospital, Copper Queen Hospital, and Douglas Hospital.

Neva Corbell, FNP

Department: Occupational Medicine

Neva Corbell, FNP, is a full-time member of the Occupational Medicine Department medical staff in Morenci, where she was born and raised. A Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Neva returned to Morenci to accept a full-time position in the Family Medicine Department at Gila Health Resources in November 2017, and moved on to join the Occupational Medicine Department in 2019.

Neva’s first affiliation with Gila Health Resources was as a Summer Intern as a Senior at Morenci High School. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, she completed clinical rotations in adult health, pediatric and adolescent medicine, women’s health, and geriatric medicine, at various medical facilities throughout Arizona.  She received her Master of Science (Family Nurse Practitioner) degree from Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix, in 2015.  Prior to joining GHR, she was a full-time medical provider at Pulmonary Associates of Southern Arizona, in Tucson. 

Neva still has family in Morenci and is married to Chad Corbell.  They have four children, Hollis, Peyton, Harlie, and Arcel.  Her interests include nutrition, fitness, and family activities, and the entire family enjoys riding horses. 

Todd Woodward, PA-C

Department: Occupational Medicine

Todd Woodward, PA-C, is a member of Gila Health Resources’ Occupational Medicine Department medical staff, dividing his time between GHR’s Morenci, as well as covering other GHR locations. Todd received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Idaho State University in Meridian, Idaho in 2015. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Weber State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in June 1995. Prior to joining GHR, Todd served as a licensed, certified Physician Assistant Hospitalist at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center, and with Apogee Physicians, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and with the Idaho Center for Regenerative Medicine in Eagle, Idaho. He also served as a Mental Health Specialist with Alliance Family Services in Twin Falls, Idaho. Todd is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants. He completed several weeks of Occupational Medicine training under the direction of GHR’s Chief Medical Officer, Jonathan Manwaring, D.O., and Clinical Quality Assurance Manager, Amanda Gray, PA-C, in Morenci, Arizona, immediately after accepting full-time employment as a member of Gila Health Resources’ Occupational Medicine medical staff in June 2018.

Shane Goss, PT

Location: Morenci

Department: Physical Therapy

Shane Goss joined the medical staff of Gila Health Resources in 2005. He is a licensed Physical Therapist with a broad range of experience, including outpatient industrial, orthopedic, and geriatric physical therapy services. Shane graduated from the University of Missouri in 1996 and received his post-graduate education in Physical Therapy from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998. Prior to joining GHR, he had experience as a clinic director, nursing home rehab director, and physical therapist.  

David Buhler, PA-C

Department: Occupational Medicine

David Buhler, PA-C, is a licensed, certified, Physician Assistant in Gila Health Resources’ Occupational Medicine Department. He has been employed by GHR since April, 2018. David is a 2017 graduate of the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, where he completed his Physician Assistant education and training, after earning a Bachelors of Science undergraduate degree from Utah State University in 2013. Prior to joining Gila Health Resources, David did volunteer work, first as a Hospice Volunteer with Certified Nursing Services in Logan Utah, and later as a Physician Assistant student volunteer at the Volunteer Care Clinic in Provo, Utah in 2016, where he provided health care services to underserved, under-insured patients under the direction of a supervising physician. Following his time with the Volunteer Care Clinic, he was employed in Interventional Radiology with Utah Imaging Associates in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2017. David’s certifications include the American Heart Association, the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants. In addition to his work as a licensed Physician Assistant, David has also worked as a Patient Care Technician at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, and as a Behavioral Health Technician with Catalyst Residential Treatment Center in Brigham City, Utah. He completed several weeks of internal Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant training under the direction of GHR’s Chief Medical Officer, Jonathan Manwaring, D.O., and Clinical Quality Manager. Amanda Gray, PA-C, in Morenci, AZ, prior to moving into his full-time position as Occupational Medicine PA in June of 2018.

Armando Torres, PA-C

Department: Occupational Medicine

Armando Torres, PA, is a Physician Assistant in our Occupational Medicine Department. Armando has more than 18 years of occupational medicine experience, most of it with MBI Occupational Health Care, in Tucson, where he worked for 17 years before joining Gila Health Resources in April 2018. Armando earned his Bachelor of Science Degree to become a Physician Assistant, through California State University in 1995. He went on to work as a PA at Bayside Medical Center and for Northrup Grumman Aviation in Hawthorne, California from 1995 to 2000, at MedCare Medical Group in the City of Industry, California from 1997 to 2001, and with MBI in Tucson, Arizona until March 2018. Armando’s experience as a PA includes a wide variety of pre-placement, periodic and other employment-related physical exams, initial and follow-up medical care for personal and work-related injuries, and assisting with surgical care.

Gabriel Lindstrom, FNP

Department: Family Medicine

Gabriel “Gabe” Lindstrom, NPC, is a licensed, certified, Family Nurse Practitioner in the Family Medicine Department at Gila Health Resources’ Bagdad Medical Center, in the copper mining community of Bagdad, AZ, where Freeport McMoRan operates a mine. He has been employed by GHR since October 2020. Gabe graduated from the Walden University Family Nurse Practitioner Program in Minneapolis, MN in 2016. Prior to that, he received his Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (RN) Degree from Cochise College in Sierra Vista, AZ in 2010, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo in 1998.

Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Gabe worked as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator in Douglas and Sierra Vista, AZ, and in Fort Sam Houston and Paris, TX. He served in the Family Medicine, Medical-Surgical, Peri-Surgery, ICU, and Psychiatric Medicine Departments. Prior to joining Gila Health Resources, Gabe worked as a Nurse Practitioner with Community Health Associates and Corizon Health in Douglas and Bisbee, AZ, where he diagnosed and managed primary care issues for patients of all ages.

Gabe also played football, as a punter in college, and professional football with several NFL teams, and with NFL Europe in the early 2000s, before starting on his medical education. Gabe enjoys basketball, tennis, and most outdoor activities. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Julie Hutchinson, FNP

Department: Family Medicine

Julie Hutchinson, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined GHR's Morenci Family Medicine Department in October 2021. Julie has experience in a variety of health care settings including primary care, urgent care, and occupational medicine. Her most recent position was with the Copper Queen Community Clinic in Bisbee, Arizona where she was a primary care provider in an outpatient clinic setting. Prior to becoming a licensed, certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Julie worked as a Registered Nurse for 27 years in the Spokane, Washington area, where she served in a variety of outpatient and hospital settings including critical care, cardiac ICU care, radiology and endoscopy.  She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Gonzaga University in 1993, and went on to receive her Masters of Science degree by completing the Family Nurse Practitioner training program at Gonzaga in 2013. Julie sees Family Medicine patients by appointment, including adults and children of all ages.

Patrick Williams, PT, DPT

Department: Physical Therapy

Patrick Williams joined the medical staff of Gila Health Bagdad Physical Therapy in June, 2021. He is an Arizona-licensed Physical Therapist. Patrick graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology and went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2004. In addition to practicing general physical therapy, Patrick has special clinical interests in musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including backpacking, golf, snowboarding, and disc golf, as well as working out, consuming literature, and spending time with his family.

Lana Selby, FNP

Department: Occupational Medicine

Lana Selby, Certified Nurse Practitioner, began providing Occupational Medicine services in our Safford, AZ office in November 2021. Lana received her MSN as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of Bismark, in Bismark, North Dakota in 1999. She then joined the medical staff of Memorial Hospital where she provided primary care for children and adults in Los Baños and Sonora, California. Lana went on to serve on the Emergency Department medical staff of Dignity Health in Merced, CA, and Foothills Orthopedics in Sonora where she was an APP Director and saw patients of all ages along with an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon. She also has clinical experience seeing patients in rural healthcare settings, and in the assessment and treatment of Occupational Medicine patients through Adventist Health in Sonora.           

Sarah Wilson, PA-C

Department: Urgent Care

Sarah Wilson, Certified Physician Assistant, joined GHR's Morenci Urgent Care Department in February 2022. Sarah has more than 11 years of experience in a variety of health care settings including emergency medicine, urgent care, family practice, and hospital medicine. Prior to joining Gila Health Resources, Sarah served as a member of the emergency department medical staff with Envision Health Care in Tucson. She has also served on the ER medical staff at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, as a family practice PA with Mt. Graham Family Practice, and with Sulphur Springs Medical Center in Willcox. Sarah earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from Spring Arbor University in Michigan in 2005, and went on to become a Physician Assistant by earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Jefferson College of Health Science in Roanoke, Virginia in in 2009. Sarah is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

   

Adrianna Bernal, FNP

Department: Family Medicine 

Adrianna Bernal joined Gila Health Resources Morenci Family Medicine Department in June 2022. Adrianna is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in a variety of family medicine and women’s health care settings, initially as a registered nurse, and since 2018, as a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She has experience as a provider of prenatal and postpartum care, including all phases of labor and delivery, including fetal monitoring. She has also been active in providing education and counseling on contraception, breastfeeding, and other women’s health issues.

Her most recent position was with Copperstate OB/GYN in Tucson. Adrianna received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2013 and went on to become a Family Nurse Practitioner by earning her Masters in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2018.

Adrianna provides service to male and female Family Medicine patients of all ages, on an appointment basis, through GHR’s Family Medicine Department in Morenci.

   

Kathleen "Kat" Conlon, FNP

DEPARTMENT: OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE

Kathleen “Kat” Conlon, Family Nurse Practitioner, joined GHR's Morenci Occupational Medicine Department in September 2022. Kat has worked in a variety of family and emergency medicine settings throughout Arizona, both as a Registered Nurse, and as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner. Kat also served as a Nursing Clinical Instructor at Eastern Arizona College from 2006 through 2008 and has served as a member of their adjunct faculty since 2008. She was most recently a member of the medical staff of Optima Medical Center, and Lighthouse Medical Center, in the Gila Valley, where she managed patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, and a variety of other conditions. She also has experience in the planning and delivering of assorted modalities of alternative pain management, including administration of hyaluronic joint and trigger point injections, and platelet rich plasma and biological allograft therapy. 

Kat completed her Nurse Practitioner education in 2021 when she received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Prior to that, she graduated with honors from the University of Phoenix in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. 

 

Jessica Reese, FNP

DEPARTMENT: OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE

Jessica Reese, FNP, joined GHR's Occupational Medicine medical staff in September 2022. She serves as a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the Silver City, NM office. 

Prior to joining Gila Health Resources, Jessica worked in a variety of health care settings, most recently as a member of Spectrum Healthcare Group’s integrated primary care practice.  She has experience in the assessment and treatment of a multitude of acute and chronic primary care complaints. 

Prior to completing her Nurse Practitioner training at Simmons University, where she earned a Master of Science Degree in February 2021, Jessica earned an Associate of Applied Nursing Degree in Nursing at Yavapai College in 2013.  She went on to work in a variety of healthcare settings throughout Arizona before beginning her formal Nurse Practitioner education and training.

 

Trent Batty, MD

Department: Family Medicine

Trent Walter Batty, MD, a Board-Certified family physician, joined GHR's Family Medicine Department in January 2023. Dr. Batty received his BA at the University of Arizona in 1999, earned his medical degree from The University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2006, and went on to the University of Wyoming where he served as Chief Resident from 2007 to 2008, and completed his residency in Family Medicine in 2009.

Prior to joining Gila Health Resources, Dr. Batty was a family physician in Safford, AZ where he was a member of the medical staff of Optima Medical, was a partner and family physician at Mt. Graham Family Practice and served as Chief of Staff at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center from 2016 to 2018.  He continues to serve as Associate Medical Director for Haven Hospice in Safford.

Dr. Batty sees patients in Morenci on an appointment basis on Mondays and Fridays.  His practice includes a full spectrum of outpatient Family Medicine services, with a special emphasis on mental health and office-based surgeries. Beau Bradley, PA-C

Department: Occupational Medicine

Beau Bradley, PA-C, a Certified Physician Assistant, is the newest member of the medical staff in the Occupational Medicine Department.  He serves as the primary clinician at the Occupational Medicine Clinic in Miami, AZ. 

Beau received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Lab Science at Idaho State University in 2013, and went on to earn his M.S. Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ in 2015.  Prior to joining Gila Health Resources in December 2022, Beau served on the medical staff at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe, AZ from 2015 through 2022, where his responsibilities included first surgical assistant in a variety of laparoscopic and open surgical procedures, including orthopedic and arthroscopic cases, cesarean sections, and hysterectomies.  He was also a member of the outpatient Family Practice and Wound Care clinics where his responsibilities included ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiographic studies, diagnosing and treating patients, and administering joint injections.

 

Angelica Luiz, PA-C

Department: Urgent Care

Angelica Luiz, PA-C joined GHR as a full-time member of the Morenci Urgent Care Department in April 2023. Angelica earned her Master of Physican Assistant Studies degree, with honors, from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut in 2022. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants.

While completing her PA studies, Angelica served as Diversity Chair, Physician Assistant Student Advisor, and Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, where she graduated Cum Laude, in 2018. While earning her bachelor's degree, Angelica participated in Biochemistry research and spent time studying abroad in both Nicaragua and Cambodia. In Cambodia, she built and installed bio-sand water filters in the rural villages of Siem Reap while completing research on waterborne diseases.

Before joining GHR, Angelica worked as a licensed EMT in Massachusetts for many years. Angelica is passionate about emergency medicine and providing care to underserved patients.  In her free time, Angelica enjoys being outdoors, traveling, reading literature, and spending time with her family. 

Lisa Salinas, FNP

Location: Bagdad

Department: Family Medicine

Lisa Salinas joined Gila Health Resources Bagdad Family Medicine Department in January 2024. Lisa is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in a variety of hospital, family medicine and urgent care settings, initially as a registered nurse, and since 2022, as a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner.  Her most recent position was with Optima Medical in Prescott Valley, AZ.  Lisa received her AAS degree in Nursing from Yavapai College in 2015, her BS in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington in 2018, and went on to become a Family Nurse Practitioner by earning her Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2021.  Lisa sees Family Medicine patients by appointment, including adults and children of all ages.   In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting, camping, and traveling with her family.
